Cylch meithrin

Cylch Meithrin Y Felinheli's main aim is to provide every child aged 2 and a half up to school age an opportunity to benefit from play and learning experiences through the medium of Welsh.

The Cylch tries to ensure that it is meeting the needs of the individual children whilst making them a part of the Cylch.

We have adopted the new curriculum, that has been developed for funded non-maintained nursery settings (Cylch) in Wales.

The Cylch will support your child to be: an ambitious, capable learner, ready to learn throughout their life; an enterprising, creative contributor, ready to play a full part in life and work; an ethical, informed citizen, ready to take part in Wales and the world, and a healthy, confident individual, ready to lead a fulfilling life as a valued member of society.

These are called the ‘four purposes’ of the curriculum.

You can find more information on the new curriculum here

Our goal is for children to play happily alongside others, and all children are given the same opportunities to explore, grow and develop skills and experiences they’ll need to make the most of life.

The Cylch Meithrin is located on the school site and collaboration between the school and the Cylch means a smooth transition for the pupils.
